In life and in training, it is easy to get caught chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. So easy, in fact, that we often lose site of the wins we have every single day, no matter how small.

Nonexistent.

I'm sure if you're on social media you've seen it, too. Every week somebody has the next "best thing ever" that will transform your life and shred those 20lbs that you've been trying to lose forever.

“I workout 3-5 times a week and I don’t understand why…” insert any of the following:

.

“I haven’t lost any weight”

.

“I haven’t much lost body fat”,

.

Everyone knows that the best way to get the results you're wanting is consistency in and out of the gym. So of course if you fall off then it must be over, right?

"10 lbs in 2 weeks."

"Drop 3 dress sizes in one month."

"Your dream body instantly."

Whether we know it or not, our mindset towards a workout and the thoughts we have before, during and after a WOD affect our abilities to perform.

I want you to imagine that it's 5:00 pm and you check the WOD for tomorrow.

Did you know that without a sense of direction, humans naturally walk in circles?

Okay first, story time. I have this trick I use for seeing in the dark when I have to wakeup in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I keep one eye closed while in the bathroom so  that eye won't adjust to high light situations.
